CLASS SERIES STARTS TODAY!!! DROP-INS welcome
ENHANCING FERTILITY WITH HATHA YOGA - FALL into WINTER SERIES TO BEGIN
This series is specially designed to help support women who are trying to conceive or may be undergoing fertility treatments, which is often an extra stressful or emotional time in one's life. The classes will be led by longtime yogini and yoga teacher Liz Belile, who gave birth to a healthy boy at age 43 in October 2007 after working with various approaches to her own fertility, and is honored to be able to offer a safe, supportive environment for women hoping to conceive.
Over the course of six classes, we will explore how to apply yoga and yogic concepts, in addition to other complementary modalities, to enhance the fertility cycle and bring greater awareness and health to the whole creative self. Students will leave with a better sense of how to take charge of their own fertility, where to find reputable and compassionate support, and a small resource packet of vetted, empowering information for reference...as well as a renewed sense of hope, and perhaps even clarity. No prior experience with yoga needed.
When: (Once minimum enrollment has been met)
Cost: $150.00 for the series or $25 drop-in

Current Crop
The new "Yoga for Fertility" classes are going strong! So far we have one pregnancy, are or course hopeful for more as the class continues on.
I will more than likely keep the class on the regular weekly schedule at Mind Body Yoga Therapy.
Meanwhile, multiple reports from past students on successful ivf procedures, "natural" conception, healthy pregnancies, and happy happy new parents.
And, even more meanwhile, I'm cogitating on creating a whole module on fertility/hormonal/female reproductive system health for a new prenatal yoga teacher training program, soon to be announced.
I love this work.

Fertility Classes to Resume at Mind Body Yoga Therapy, aka the new Center for Mindfulness
Happy New Year, everyone!
I hope you all made it through the holidays unscathed!
I am planning to offer my Fertility Yoga as an ongoing class, Sunday afternoons at Mind Body Yoga Therapy, aka the new Center for Mindfulness, in NW Austin starting very soon. Stay tuned for more information, or email me if you're interested in learning more.
I witnessed a lot of heartache and a lot of miracles this past year, as head Fertility Goddess. My fertility students are very dear to me, and it's a special bond we all create together as we share and support and shepherd one another through the sacred fire of this decidedly challenging path. I am so proud of my "fertility warriors" for all the work and love they put into themselves, and to becoming parents, this past year. (And even before that).
Since I began teaching "Fertility Enhancing" Yoga, I have seen everything from twin births from IVF procedures, as well as from "natural" fertility practices; I've seen families formed through fostering, adoption, using a donor egg, going through both Eastern and Western fertility treatments, and I've seen couples finally decide they were not going to become parents at this time, if ever. The bottom line is: this process is highly individual. Few walk the same path here. Many never know exactly why they are unable to get pregnant, or hold a pregnancy. There are miscarriages along the way for some. Some never conceive. But all of the work they do, above and beyond the yoga -- from changing diets to adding nourishing herbs, supplements, massage, meditation, and acupuncture -- has the sole purpose of putting the body, mind, and spirit back into balance. No matter what.

will shelter you from great sorrow.

Bio:
Liz
Belile, RYT, LMT is a 48-year old first time mama who gave birth to her
bundle of joy at the ripe age of 43, after various approaches to her
own fertility. She created the "Yoga for Fertility" class series almost
three years ago, hoping to share her wisdom and resources as well as
provide support and encouragement for women who were having
difficulty conceiving. Since then, about 75% of her fertility students
have given birth within a year of taking the class. Liz was voted "Best Fertility Expert" in the 2011 Austin Birth Awards, and is up for the honor again this year!
She has practiced yoga for over 20 years, has been teaching since 1999. A performer and a writing and performance teacher, Liz is a sought-after presenter for Writing and Yoga Teacher Training Students, having taught for several local teacher training programs for nearly ten years. She is a traveled spoken word artist, a published poet, and was among the very first MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics at the Naropa Institute, where she studied contemplative poetics, fiction and poetry writing, performance, and meditation.

Summer Cycles
I rarely post anything personal on this site, but I have to share that we've had several students get pregnant since the beginning of Summer, and I couldn't be more delighted!
I'm beginning to see that perhaps the most important thing these fertility yoga classes provide is companionship, understanding, and support. It makes my heart sing when I hear that my students are planning to stay in touch, get together, share resources.
So congratulations on all the new parents, and parents-to-be, and to those who are firmly rooted on the path toward parenthood.

Formula for Cultivating Happiness
Here's a little daily exercise I try to give myself every morning to set the tone for the day, and to remind myself that there are actually things to be grateful for, to look forward to, and that show me I have been making progress despite feeling otherwise. Try it, and let me know what happens...
__________________________________________________________________________
I'm grateful for:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
My intention today is:
To-do Today
- Breathe
Right now I feel...
What am I joyfully anticipating?
What have I learned lately?
