Current Crop

The  new "Yoga for Fertility" classes are going strong! So far we have one pregnancy, are or course hopeful for more as the class continues on.

I will more than likely keep the class on the regular weekly schedule at Mind Body Yoga Therapy.

Meanwhile, multiple reports from past students on successful ivf procedures, "natural" conception, healthy pregnancies, and happy happy new parents.

And, even more meanwhile, I'm cogitating on creating a whole module on fertility/hormonal/female reproductive system health for a new prenatal yoga teacher training program, soon to be announced.

I love this work.

Fertility Classes to Resume at Mind Body Yoga Therapy, aka the new Center for Mindfulness

Happy New Year, everyone!

I hope you all made it through the holidays unscathed!

I am planning to offer my Fertility Yoga  as an ongoing class, Sunday afternoons at Mind Body Yoga Therapy, aka the new Center for Mindfulness, in NW Austin starting very soon. Stay tuned for more information, or email me if you're interested in learning more.

I witnessed a lot of heartache and a lot of miracles this past year, as head Fertility Goddess. My fertility students are very dear to me, and it's a special bond we all create together as we share and support and shepherd one another through the sacred fire of this decidedly challenging path. I am so proud of my "fertility warriors" for all the work and love they put into themselves, and to becoming parents, this past year. (And even before that).

Since I began teaching "Fertility Enhancing" Yoga, I have seen everything from twin births from IVF procedures, as well as from "natural" fertility practices; I've seen families formed through fostering, adoption, using a donor egg, going through both Eastern and Western fertility treatments, and I've seen couples finally decide they were not going to become parents at this time, if ever. The bottom line is: this process is highly individual. Few walk the same path here. Many never know exactly why they are unable to get pregnant, or hold a pregnancy. There are miscarriages along the way for some. Some never conceive. But all of the work they do, above and beyond the yoga --  from changing diets to adding nourishing herbs, supplements, massage, meditation, and acupuncture -- has the sole purpose of putting the body, mind, and spirit back into balance. No matter what.

On this path no effort is wasted,
no gain is ever reversed;
even a little of this practice
will shelter you from great sorrow.

New Fertility Class Series: Support Through the Holidays

For anyone who is having difficulty conceiving, or is undergoing fertility treatments, or is simply looking to increase consciousness and enhance their reproductive health with yoga and other complementary modalities. Join us for yoga, meditation, support, relaxation and connection during what is often a lonely, discouraging journey.

Class is led by Liz Belile, who has taught yoga since 1999, and gave birth to her healthy son at the ripe old age of 43 after trying various approaches to her own fertility. Liz has spent the last few years working with local acupuncturists, massage therapists, and many reproductive medicine professionals to help support her students on their path to parenthood.

Classes will be held at Mind Body Yoga Therapy in Austin through December, and meet every other Sunday to offer space and time for busy schedules.

Dates are:

November 4, 18
December 2, 9, 16

from 4:00-5:30pm

Cost is $125, less ($100) if I get 5 students or more.
